Calculated total yearly amount of child allowance paid by national authorities. Payment is specified regarding number and age composition of children by the following definition: 1 child = infant (less than 1 year), 2 children = infant and child aged 5, 3 children = infant, children aged 5 and 8. The variable Household consist of the following categories: Couples, Singles and Other.

From 2017 the child allowance depends on the age of the child. When a child is 7 years or older, the child allowance is reduced with 2700 DKK. In addition to child allowance, families with children receive a means tested family benefit. The means-tested benefit is not included in the amount in the template.
